How EasyPDF's AI Text Editing Actually Works

Each text block is extracted along with its glyph metrics (font family, weight, size, kerning, baseline offset) and run through a neural network trained on over 2 million font samples to identify the closest matching typeface. When you click to edit, we render an input overlay that mirrors the exact visual properties of the underlying text.

Your changes are written back to the PDF content stream using the original font reference whenever it is embedded, or the closest OpenType equivalent when it is not. Images, annotations and form fields follow the same logic. AcroForms, XFA forms, bookmarks and layered PDFs are all supported.

The result is a pixel-accurate edit that holds up if the file is later reprocessed by Acrobat, Preview, or the PDF readers used on legal platforms.
